Carlisle School District
The Carlisle School District has a position open for band director. Duties include beginning band, a Middle School Band, and High School Band. Other teaching assignments would include 7th Grade and 8th Grade music rotations, and possible other duties as assigned. Preference would be given to applicant with vocal certification as well. Carlisle is also accepting applications for High School Principal.  Construction has begun on the new high school and is suppose to be completed in the 2009-2010 school year. Pea Ridge School District

Cushman School District (northwest of Batesville) seeks a qualified K-12 Vocal/Instrumental music teacher for the 2008-09 school year. Arkansas State University-Beebe is currently accepting applications for two full-time Instructors of Music: one vocal/choral (voice type open), and one instrumental/band. Minimum qualifications are a master’s degree in Music or Music Education, with a doctorate strongly preferred. Experience in all aspects of the administration of a music program is desired in at least one of the two positions (curriculum, adjuncts, budget, performance, recruiting, etc.). Ability and willingness to teach the full range of normal Freshman and Sophomore level classes for music majors (including music theory) and music appreciation for non-music majors is required, and 5 or more years of teaching experience is desired. Musical Theatre and Music Technology experience/expertise is also desirable. Minority applicants are encouraged to apply.
